In my opinion, and I am a very fussy shopper, this indeed is the perfect masher. Instead of the plastic ones that you squish food and force it through the little holes, this masher actually mashes foods to break them up. You can mash as much or as little as you like, and it works well and easily. It's well made and very sturdy.

I have used it on potatoes as well as vegetables and been very pleased with its performance.

I have even started giving it out to envious friends, who all love it as well.

A great investment!

This is a well-made masher made mainly of stainless steel, the soft handle makes it easy to grasp and hold when mashing. It is sturdy and mashes potatoes quickly. I use a brush to assist when washing, this makes it easy to clean between the "blades". This company also makes a similar product used for blending pastry. It is similar in design aside from the handle configuration. I would recommend this item.

This is the greatest masher I have ever used. Very strong, used for dicing cold butter and mashing potatoes. Can't wait to use it for other applications.

I think this is the best potato masher I have was able to quickly get the consistancy I wanted ever used. Very easy to mash too, (better than the ones I had with the holes). Nice and easy on these tired old arthritic hands. I even used this as pastry blender (while waiting on my new one, from this company, to come).
